We had a nice time at your
resort, it was really nice we could bring our dog, we plan on spending a couple
of days next summer, Also we really enjoyed the Chula Vista Buffet, Thanks, AC,

Our stay at DOR was great!
We really enjoyed the room on the lake and getting to hang out on the beach at
our leisure. The nightly bonfire was a very nice touch as well! We liked
how the resort was a bit off the beaten path so we could enjoy the quiet.
All at a very reasonable price! We would definitely recommend Delton Oaks to our
friends and would stay there again the next time we're in the area. DG,

We really enjoyed our stay at
Delton Oaks. It is so hard to find a place to stay that we can take our
dog at a really great rate and location. The owners were great, as well as
the other guests. I have a 9 month old wiemeriner who is verrrry active.
He loved playing with the other dogs that were there. I think he had more
fun than we did. The room was clean as were the grounds and beach. We will

This is the 3rd time we
have stayed at Delton Oaks resort. As usual it was a wonderful stay. The
screen doors on the sliding doors need to be fixed, but it didn't really detract

In the years we've been
vacationing at the Dells, never had I had a more pleasant experience with
accommodations than at Delton Oaks. Everyone was so very friendly and kind.
The dogs had a great time! The rooms were retro-chic (a little messy when we
checked in but not very concerning). It was quiet and beautiful and such a
wonderful view out our patio door. This is the only place we will ever stay
when we come to the Dells. We had a wonderful time. Thank you for making our

We did enjoy our
stay, it was just what we were looking for. I found Delton Oaks by
searching for Lake Delton dog friendly locations. I searched many
sites and read many reviews. When I first read the reviews on your
site and Trip Advisor I was mixed about making the reservation due
to some of the comments. But, you have to set your expectations
accordingly. Yes, the décor is older, but clean. It’s not the
Marriott, but if it was I’m sure the rates would have been 3X what
we paid. Delton Oaks has great amenities for pets and is one of very
few, if any, locations you can have a dog on the beach. Our dog
loved seeing other dogs while we were there. We appreciate the
referral to the boat rental location up the road. It was a great
price and got us out on the water to enjoy Lake Delton. CW August

We loved staying at the resort.
Our corner cabin was great. Our favorite thing was being so close to the
lake and being able to fish at any time. It was very quiet and relaxing for
all of us. The only issue I had (my husband and three kids did not
complain) was, I felt the bed was a little hard. We really had a wonderful
time and will definitely be back.

At first we thought the
place was run down but as we stayed the week, we really enjoyed ourselves.
Yes, no granite counters and fancy bathrooms but oh well. If you are
visiting in the summer and have two bedrooms, you might want to bring some
fans. The air is fine in the kitchen/living room but warm in the bedrooms.
I loved that our dogs could go anywhere. Our one dog even jumped off the
floating raft once. The location was great. The pool was nice and so was
the beach. The owners were very accommodating and we loved all the
discounts we got to attractions and dinners. Saved us a lot. AW,

We had a great time…..The Grandkids Bailey and Jayden did not want to leave,
as a matter of fact, I did not either. I just loved being so close to the

We enjoyed our stay.....loved having
the lake right outside our patio door. The kids enjoyed feeding the ducks!! We
appreciated being upgraded to a suite at no extra cost. The deal at Noah's Ark
worked very well with our budget....we could not have afforded to go 2 days in a

This was our first trip to the
Dells and our group of 11 very much enjoyed it. We stayed at the Alpine
Lodge which worked out perfect for us. The kids loved Mt Olympus and
Pirates Cove-thanks for the tickets. The fire pit at the house was
awesome and very private. We had a 3 year old and never worried about
him getting out of the yard area. The deck was used by all and there
were plenty of chairs. Other than that, a cookie tray for the kitchen
might be useful-but everything else was well stocked. Thanks again for the

I just wanted to let you know that the 3 days that I
rented the Alpine Lodge were great. The house was more than I could have
imagined. It was perfect and all of my guests were very impressed with the
house. I really liked that the house came with all the amenities. There were
things that we forgot to take and you guys had it in the house. The lake was
great--we had lots of fun. Overall I just wanted to let you guys know that we
had the best time. I wish we could have stayed longer ,but the time that we were
there was great. I will definitely contact you guys next summer to rent the

What a great time we had at Delton Oaks on the 4th
of July weekend!! Alpine Lodge was large and comfortable for the 17 of
us. Furnishings new and everything needed was available . Bedrooms and
three full baths made sleeping and bathing easily accommodating for a
large group .We had our privacy, yet so close to the beach area. All
seven grandchildren had plenty to do. All said it was the best time
together in a long time The group went on the ducks, horseback riding
and go-karting, something to do at all times. We thank you for your

We had a great time at . .
Alpine Lodge. We enjoyed the house and found it well stocked. We didn't need to
come to the office for anything. We really liked all the bathrooms. It worked
wonderful for our family. We took in a few attractions like the Army Duck Ride,
the Upper Dells Tour, the Lost Canyon Tour, the Riverside Train , the
Glockenspiel and liked them all. Our stay was a little cool and the kids pretty
young so we went to an indoor waterpark and not the big outside ones. We also
enjoyed the pool at the resort and the lake a few times. Thanks for a great

My family and I loved our vacation and absolutely loved Delton Oaks
Resort ! It
was perfect for our dogs, for us (3 adults) and for my grandchildren. My
grandchildren played on the playground (my grandson even went down the slide
by himself for the first time !) and they loved the pool! They absolutely
loved the "sand/wave pool" (that is what they called the beach/lake). We
appreciated the passes for the miniature golf, although we were rained on alittle, we had alot of fun! Your resort is so quiet and comfortable, I
enjoyed that much much more than staying in a waterpark resort.
We actually spent alot of time at your resort having fun rather than the
attractions but my daughter and her husband "had" to check out the torture
museum with they thoroughly enjoyed. We loved the fact that we could cook
in our room rather than have to spend money going out to eat but we did
visit the Pizza Pub for the buffet lunch one day, I was very impressed with
their pizza and salad bar...it was so clean and comfortable and the service

We had a great stay at Delton
Oaks Resort. The room was very comfortable. We chose Delton Oaks because of how
dog-friendly it is, as we were traveling with our two pooches. We loved the
hometown feel of the resort and especially loved our private balcony. We were
able to leave the doors to the balcony open when the weather wasn't too
sweltering and the dogs could go out and look around at will. They seemed to
enjoy their stay as much as we did. The only thing we wished could have been
slightly different was how hard the bed was. We were a little sore in the
mornings. It was a wonderful place to stay while at the dells and we do plan to

I just wanted to thank Bill and
Kate Pettit for an absolutely wonderful vacation. I have really grown to love
your resort as my family's vacation destination :) There aren't too many places
in the Dells that have your hospitality and family like feeling! I love the fact
that your place has the old feeling of what a family vacation should be. The
lake, feeding the ducks, drinking a cup of coffee on the docks and watching the
sunrise or sunset. I don't need a condo or a huge resort all I need is what your
wonderful resort and the outdoorsey feeling and we are all great. I am already
planning to come back next in July and will recommend your families resort to
anyone that asks about staying in the Dells! Especially since you allow dogs :)

We really enjoyed our stay at Alpine Lodge. The house was clean, the owners
very supportive, and the area is lovely. We enjoyed the many activities in
the area with the kids. Once concern we did have was the spiral staircase.
The metal structure and protrusions caused a couple of head bumps.

Overall we were disappointed in our stay. On the plus side the room was very
clean and tidy even though it was old. The water was hot and the
refrigerator kept things cold but was very noisy.

On the negative side . . .
the beach was not clean and dead fish were laying around.
(We had a lake-wide fish kill the
weekend these guests
stayed with us. We were remiss in not being quicker to clean up.)
The one bed was very uncomfortable but fortunately the other one was ok. The
first night we did not get much sleep because someone down the way was
making so much noise outside and inside. The swearing and yelling which
started around 2 in the morning kept up for about 2 hours. We were hoping
you would have heard them and gone over and made them quiet down.
(We did not hear the noise, and, unfortunately, no one called
to let us know, or we would have quieted them down immediately.) M.S.

We have been classified as a "Classic Dells Property" by the Dells Visitor
Bureau, which pretty much means that we have been around a long time.
There has been a resort on our property for more than 60 years, and we are proud
to offer our guests the old time vacation feel of the kind of places we took our
kids to years ago. Of course, all of this means that our buildings are not
brand new--we tell people that if they're looking for granite counters and rain
shower heads in the bath, they won't find them here. But we update as we
can, and we work on cleanliness, so most people are more than happy with their
accommodations. Add to that our terrific beach and cozy campfire, and you can't
help but make memories here at Delton Oaks that your children will hold on to
for a lifetime.)
We had a Wisconsin Dells book and we were drawn to your resort because Dogs
were welcome. There is not too many places that allow dogs. We enjoyed our
stay very much.
I don't know if you noticed our Ruby did not bark at all and we just felt
that she enjoyed herself just as much as we did. No barking dog is a Good
Thing. The two-bedroom cottage was very nice and we would rent it again.

summer vacation. We stayed at the Delton Oaks Resort. We certainly enjoyed
our stay at the Resort. Both Mr. & Mrs. Pettit were very responsive to our

were sorry these guests were unhappy, and we
quickly moved them to a room that they
enjoyed. Have to say that I have
noticed a "cabin-like" odor in one room, but
it never seemed so bad to me. This is
the first complaint we've had about this
room, but we welcome all comments, so here
it is.)
We had a great time and found
Delton Oaks very peaceful and restful. Noah's
Ark was a huge hit with the kids and The Upper
Dells Boat ride was enjoyed by all. We enjoyed
dining at Marleys, Moosejaw and High Rock Cafe.
Other activities we liked included feeding the
ducks everyday and and the strip of shops in the
downtown area. This is a place we would surely
visit again (maybe with extended family too). C.

the pool and the fact that we were so close to the

We had a lovely time at the Delton Oaks. S. says the water was
nice and hot in the shower, I say the bed was really comfortable
and we both enjoyed the beautiful lakefront. I love the pool;
it is clean and just the right size. You both are so friendly;
it is wonderful to see you. Thank you for the coupons which we
used for the Upper Dells boat ride and the Original Ducks; both
fun and informative. We ate at the Del Bar, Ravina Bay both had
good food and we would go back for the food and service. The
view is beautiful from Ravina Bay! We shopped at the Holiday
House, Book World and Parsons (Trading Post). Got lovely gifts
for our friends, and family. Purchased a beautiful ring from
Parsons that I am so glad I did not leave behind. Very
unique. All in all the Dells are not the Dells without Delton
Oaks and Bill and Kate. Thank you for a beautiful, clean and

Just
wanted to say we enjoyed our stay at your lakeside resort very much.
It was as advertised with ducks and geese coming to the beach
looking for food and a gorgeous view of the lake from our patio. We
especially liked the location and the fact that we were able to
bring our recently adopted dog along and we found that he was an

Our family enjoyed our stay at Delton Oaks Resort very much and would
love to come back. We chose your resort because our youngest son has
autism and enjoys the water and the beach, he doesn't like the noise and
crowds at the waterparks - we made the perfect choice. It was very
relaxing and the way the rooms are set up make it very natural to meet &
visit with your neighbors - we met a lot of nice families. My oldest son
had a lot of fun at Mount Olympus, Noah's Ark, & Knuckles . I had a
great time shopping at the Tanger Outlets - very nice indoor mall. We
also visited the deer park. One night we had pizza delivered from the
Pizza Pub which was very good. We will definitely recommend your resort

We were recent guests at your resort which was recommended
by another dog lover. We loved the fact that our dogs were welcome. Our
stay, however brief, was comfortable and enjoyable. It felt like home.
Unfortunately at the end of our stay, we experienced some car problems and
were worried about not leaving as planned. We were reassured by Kate that
it would not be a problem and that alleviated a lot of stress that we were
experiencing due to the car problem. Thanks for the enjoyable stay! Next

the resort. The only thing I would change is that I wish the beds were more

We met Bill and Kate their first year
at Delton Oaks. My husband, myself and our Lab Chief spent at least one weekend
at the Resort every year for leisurely getaways, or celebrating birthdays, and
holidays with friends and family. I had not visited for a few years but
recently returned with our Lab Blue to renew the tradition. We always stay in
the lakeside condos, offering the biggest view of Lake Delton, with walk out
patios, right on the water, and a boat dock for our pontoon rental. The condos
are well equipped, efficient, and clean, clean!. I often bring a few items to
homey it up, tablecloths, sheets, decor items, but its certainly not needed.
Although the fridge had seen better days, it was cold, and there was ice, the
microwave did not seem to reheat the coffee, and the shower ran cool one
afternoon when everyone got out of the pool at the same time. But, If you're
looking for fun in the sun with your dog, this is it! The big dog-friendly sand
beach has our Lab paddling in his dreams. After a hot playful day on the beach
the pristine pool is so inviting for the humans and just steps from our condo.

My family stayed with you at Delton Oaks a few times in the past, most
recently last summer (2007). We just wanted to let you know that are thinking of
you guys during what must be a trying time in your lives. (draining of Lake
Delton in June 2008) We first stayed at Delton Oaks because of your pet-friendly
policy, but we have grown to really enjoy Delton Oaks regardless of the pet
policy. We realize that there are more modern resorts with all the amenities,
but that just doesn't compare to the treatment that we got at Delton Oaks.
Running into one of you during the day and having a conversation is even better
than a first class waterpark in my opinion. I have always stayed at smaller
family owned and operated resorts throughout my life, and I will continue to do
so until they just aren't around anymore (let's hope that never happens). Thanks
